Home » News » Update » Press Release » Phone Solicitation

At the end of each year, many people and businesses extend their generosity or look to improve their tax situation by donating to various causes and charities. We would like to take the time to remind everyone not one of the 80 recognized ground search and rescue (GSAR) groups, the volunteer air (EMBC Air) groups, or volunteer groups with the Royal Canadian Marine SAR (RCMSAR), solicit for donations by phone.

If you get a phone call asking for donations, it is not us.

You can read more about this here.

We appreciate there are many worthy causes people can donate to, and we applaud those who find it in their means to provide support in whatever form they can. If you would like to know more about how you can support the volunteers who do ground search and rescue in BC, visit our donation page.

You can donate to the provincial association or to have it directed to one of the 80 recognized GSAR groups, scroll to the bottom of the web page and follow that link.
