BCSARA divides the province of BC into twelve regions. A representative is elected from each region to give voice to issues and communicate with SAR groups. Province wide agencies are included in a separate listing.
The Sea to Sky region includes Vancouver, the third largest city in Canada, its outlying regions, the Whistler corridor and the Sunshine Coast. It has eight
SAR groups, and includes the BCSARA head office.
The Fraser Valley region starts on the border of Surrey, and covers the entire Fraser Valley to the Coquihalla Summit, south to the US border, and north to the Stein Valley. There are six
groups in this region.
There are five
groups in this region which covers the Okanagan valley and the Similkameen river from the border with the South Coast/Fraser Valley regions to the edge of the Columbia River.
There are eight
groups in this mountainous region of BC that includes the Rocky Mountain Trench and several National Parks extending to the Alberta border.
