Members: 45

CR SAR consists of 45 members with a diversity of skills. We have a rope rescue team, swiftwater/flat water rescue team, mountain rescue trainined personnel, tracking, canaine team, hover exit, as well as many more skills. We cover Vancouver Island north of Campbell River as well as the Discovery Islands and parts of the mainland. We have 3 response vehicles, 2 boats, 4 ATV, 2 snowmobiles, portable repeater, FLIR, night vision optics amoung other essential SAR related gear. We respond to 30-40 calls a years ranging from missing persons, water rescue, medical evacs and a variety of others.
